REGIONAL ACADEMIC UIL

We can't wait to see what you achieve this year!!!

!! PARENTS  !!

If you are not familiar with UIL, be sure you click the UIL Texas Link.  Created by the University of Texas in 1910, the University Interscholastic League is the LARGEST inter-school organization in the world.

This alone is great reason to raise kids in TEXAS!

It provides many Academic, Fine Arts and Sports competitive opportunities that no other state has.

Called A+ Academics for Junior High student it offers a plethora of opportunities to expand and enhance skills in a competitive environment.

 Destination Imagination

Destination ImagiNation

What an amazing Group of students.  These kids can build anything of of scraps, solve problems, lead teams, create and tell the most brilliant stories.

Destination ImagiNation is a program that builds participants' creativity, teamwork and problem solving in enjoyable and meaningful ways.

The GOALS of Destination ImagiNation are for participants to:

  • Foster creative and critical thinking.
  • Learn and apply creative problem solving tools and method.
  • Develop teamwork, collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Nurture research and inquiry skills, involving both creative exploration and attention to detail.
  • Apply and enhance written and verbal communication and presentation skills (both impromptu and sustained).
  • Promote the recognition, use and development of many and varied strengths and talents.
  • Encourage competence in, enthusiasm for and commitment to real-life problem solving.

We NEED Parent "Team Managers".

As a TEAM MANAGER you provide:

  1. a place to meet for up to 7 students,
  2. facilitation of the current year's program material
  3. Storage and transportation of anything created
  4. attend the competition(s) with the students during the spring.

Parents provide items and monetary support for  the team.  PLEASE CONSIDER becoming a Team Manager.

Lack of Team Manager is the only reason we turn students away :(
